Mark Ethridge

  • Mark Ethridge is the Managing Principal of Ascent Housing. Mark currently serves on the boards of Housing Impact Fund and Housing Collaborative. He co-chaired the City of Charlotte’s Source of Income ad hoc advisory committee in 2021/2022 and has served on a variety of multi-sector initiatives addressing housing affordability and homelessness in the Charlotte region. Mark is a Charlotte native and graduated from Princeton University in 2010.

Adelaide Martin

  • Adelaide Martin oversees Impact and Operations for Ascent Housing, leading the coordination of supportive services, housing programs and operations. Ms. Martin has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit and social impact space, most recently serving as COO at United Way of Greater Charlotte. Ms. Martin grew up in Charlotte, earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. She has been active in a number of organizations in the region, including Roof Above, Belk Foundation and the Crosland Foundation.

Hailey Innocent

  • Hailey oversees operations, supporting the company’s growing portfolio and fund management responsibilities as well as spearheading new initiatives at both the project and fund-level. She has a Bachelor’s in Design and Minor in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida and an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School with concentrations in Sustainable Enterprise and Real Estate. Hailey also holds a LEED GA certification from the US Green Building Council. 

Aidan McConnell

  • Aidan McConnell leads asset management for Ascent Housing's platform of $320 million in capitalized assets, focusing on portfolio strategy, performance optimization, financial oversight, and investor reporting for more than 2,300 naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH) apartment units.

    A Charlotte native, Aidan earned his MBA with a concentration in Real Estate Development and Entrepreneurship from UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2024. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. While at UNC Kenan-Flagler, Aidan was a Vetter Deans Fellow, Richard H. Jenrette Fellowship Recipient, and winner of the Norman Block Award, which is reserved for the MBA graduate who finishes first in their class. Aidan introduced novel housing and mixed-use investments to the university's student-led real estate private equity fund and spearheaded affordable housing development initiatives across the Raleigh-Durham region. 

    Aidan is a member of the Urban Land Institute’s Charlotte chapter and is an emerging thought leader in office-to-residential conversion initiatives for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. He lives in Plaza Midwood with his wife, Laura. 

Paris Hackett

  • Paris Hacket supports all marketing functions for the Ascent Companies. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with more than 2 years of Public Relations agency experience. Working as an Account Coordinator at Articulate, Paris, supported PR campaigns and innovative events to impact brand awareness and reputation. Relocating back to her hometown, Charlotte, from New York, Paris develops and executes strategic campaigns to promote affordable housing initiatives, engage community stakeholders, and drive awareness of the Ascent Housing mission.
