In March 2024, Ascent and Housing Impact Fund II acquired a 240-unit near Pineville-Matthews Rd. Ascent Pineville prior to the acquisition, rent started at $1,400 for a one-bedroom unit and $1,675 for two bedroom apartment.
In September 2023, Ascent and Housing Impact Fund II acquired a 266-unit apartment community on Woodlawn Road near Park Road Shopping Center.
Housing Impact Fund I
In November 2022, Ascent and Housing Impact Fund acquired a 292-unit apartment community on Central Avenue near the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. The partnership placed a long-term deed restriction on the property which will offer rents affordable to households earning between 30-80% AMI.
In December 2021, Ascent and Housing Impact Fund acquired a 265-unit apartment community located in the Shannon Park neighborhood near Plaza Midwood and NoDa. The partnership will invest in a substantial rehabilitation of the 1960s-era property, one of the most affordable apartment communities in Charlotte.
In October 2021, Ascent and Housing Impact Fund acquired a 60-unit apartment community located in the Cotswold neighborhood. The property, built in 1973, offers some of the lowest rents in South Charlotte.
In September 2021, Ascent and Housing Impact Fund acquired a 44-unit apartment community located in the Cotswold neighborhood. The property is zoned for quality schools and walkable to a grocery store, shops, and multiple bus routes, and is just a 5-minute drive from major shopping destinations and employment centers.
In December 2020, Ascent and Housing Impact Fund acquired a 144-unit apartment community immediately adjacent to LYNX Archdale Station in the Montclaire South neighborhood. The partnership placed a long-term deed restriction on the property, which will maintain affordability for families earning between 30-80% AMI.
Other Partnerships
In August 2020, Ascent partnered with Roof Above to acquire and preserve a 341-unit NOAH in the Windsor Park neighborhood. The partnership placed a long-term deed restriction on the property, which will preserve existing affordability and create a new integrated supportive housing program serving 75 individuals who’ve experienced substantial challenges with housing insecurity.
In April 2019, Ascent Housing acquired a 98-unit apartment community in the Oakhurst neighborhood. The partnership has renovated and implemented a long-term deed restriction on the property to maintain affordability for existing and future residents.
